What does it mean for the Holy Spirit to

“guide you into all truth”

(John 16:13) in an age of Artificial Intelligence, influencers, augmented reality and more?

Ministers today face challenges and questions that no other generation in the history of the Church have had to consider. It’s no wonder many are feeling baffled. There’s a lot of uncertainty, pressure and complexity involved in knowing how and when to adapt.

The Content Revival exists to create a world where everyone feels seen and heard.

Especially the ministers doing the work to carve out spiritual, Jesus-centered community in a fast-paced, global and digital world.

Values

Below are the core values that guide everything at The Content Revival.

It's going to take all of us.

Every one has something critical to bring to the table. We will be ruthless about laying down our closely-held assumptions to truly hear and see others — especially when we come from different worlds. The Content Revival is purposefully multiethnic, intergenerational, ecumenical and politically neutral. The challenges we face are beyond what any of us can figure out on our own.

Find Jesus everywhere.

Everything was created by, for and through Jesus (Col. 1:16-17). This means we can find him in secular and religious research, business practices, other cultures and countries, nature, our daily routines and pet peeves and everything in between. Our faith-infused curiosity will lead us to find him wherever he is working in the details.

Learn with integrity.

In a world of misinformation, we check and double-check, find primary sources wherever possible and most important of all, admit when we got it wrong. Jesus is the only one with the edge on Truth. We're just trying to put the pieces together. We protect people first and foremost, not platforms or institutions.

Move forward slowly and together.

Like Kosuke Koyama writes, we follow a three-mile-an-hour God. In a fast-changing world, we believe some things are worth slowing down. We listen closely. We read with intention. We think before we type. We ask questions and wait for the answers. We practice silence and rest.

Pursue focus and mastery.

In a world obsessed with appearances, we want to invest our skills, brains, questions and more as a gift to Jesus and the world. So we do the hard, invisible, focused work necessary to pursue mastery. We don't idolize followers or dollars in our pursuit of Jesus. We are focused primarily on becoming excellent for his kingdom’s sake and sharing what we can with others along the way.

Meet your guide

I’m Aria Spears, a minister and Duke M.Div. seminarian with a focus in missional innovation. I’m also a copywriter, freelance writer and social content strategist with a Master of Nonprofit & Civic Leadership and over eight years of experience in strategic communication in nonprofits, an agency and more.

I started The Content Revival because the ways church people engage on social media genuinely keeps me up at night. I know a lot of us are struggling with our current environment behind closed doors and I want to bring those questions to light. And support how I can.

I want to convene passionate, smart and Jesus-minded people to figure out the tough questions we as young ministers face —— together.

Whether you’re a minister of 5 or 5,000 your voice is needed.
